Having opened their first shop only a year before, MD Jewellers were presented with an opportunity to purchase the shop of a jeweller who was retiring in the town. The premises were in a seriously bad state of repair and needed significant works to bring them up to a specification which would attract the type of clientele that the owners hoped would visit.

The brief was to build a contemporary store with hints back to the original fabric of the building, so exposed brickwork was chosen to create this element. Other neat touches such as internal electric shutters were installed, and the window cabinets are also on wheels so can be pulled back out of the windows at night.

We installed engineered oak floor, air conditioning, a VIP room and upgraded all of the electrical installations to comply to current regulations. We are sure you will agree the result is rather striking. The owners have seen a totally different level of clientele from the old shop, with a much higher spend than previous.
